Learning at Or ChadashWe are deeply committed to study and education, and there are opportunities every week to learn with our rabbis or with visiting scholars.
Or Chadash hosts a monthly seudah shlishit discussion series, with timely topics ranging from the new beit din for agunot to the treatment of converts to the ordination of orthodox female clergy. Childcare is provided during the discussions so that both parents of young children can attend. In May each year, we also sponsor a Scholar in Residence in memory of Rabbi Eliezer Cohen z"l. The Scholar in Residence for 2016 will be Professor Deena Rabinovich, the director of the Legacy Heritage Foundation program at Yeshiva University’s Stern College for Women and a former student of Rabbi Cohen. |
